What is the main difference between the Team Wendy EXFIL® Ballistic and the EXFIL® Ballistic SL?
The main difference is the weight. The EXFIL® Ballistic SL features a lightweight composite shell that is 15% lighter than the original EXFIL® Ballistic helmet. It also includes lighter components like the EXFIL® Rail 3.0 (25% lighter than Rail 2.0) and the Wilcox® SL Shroud (35% lighter than the W Shroud). Both helmets offer the same NIJ Level III-A ballistic protection and unique shell geometry for an optimal fit.
How do I choose the correct size?
To find your size, measure the circumference of your head. Size 1 is for head circumferences of 52-60 cm (20.5-23.5 in), and Size 2 is for 58-63 cm (23-24.75 in). If you are in between sizes, it is recommended to choose the larger size. Your helmet also includes two sets of comfort pads (thin and thick) to help you customize the fit.
Can I wear a communication headset with this helmet?
Yes. The Zorbium® foam liner has a removable center pad to easily accommodate overhead communication headsets. Additionally, the EXFIL® Rail 3.0 system is compatible with accessories like the EXFIL® Peltor™ Quick Release Adapters for direct mounting of Peltor™ ComTac™ systems.
Is a night vision goggle (NVG) mount included with the helmet?
The helmet comes standard with a Wilcox® SL Shroud for NVG mounts. However, the NVG mount itself, such as the Wilcox® G24 that connects your night vision device to the shroud, is not included.
What is the Zorbium® foam liner?
Zorbium® is a proprietary polyurethane foam used for both impact protection and comfort. The helmet liner is made of a three-piece Zorbium® foam system that exceeds the blunt impact protection requirements of the Advanced Combat Helmet (ACH). This is the same type of foam used in the standard issue 7-Pad System for the U.S. Army and Marine Corps.

- A re-certification cost of 20% applies to returns of ballistic and bulletproof products.
- The 20% recertification covers the cost of ensuring the armor is safe. Usually starting with X-Raying the armor for cracks underneath the coating, inspection for damage, and water damage testing. Without this 20%, we would not be able to offer returns on armor.
- There is no way for us to know how or if it was used once shipped, and we have to consider them unsafe until retested, inspected and certified.
- Exchanges and non-ballistic products do not have a re-certification cost.
