What is the "HG2" Standard and how is it different from Level IIIA?
HG2 is the new NIJ standard that modernizes the older Level IIIA rating. While both ratings certify that the FAST XP Helmet System stops .44 Magnum and 9mm rounds, HG2 is stricter. It requires the helmet to pass tougher tests for Backface Deformation (how much the shell dents inward). This means the new FAST XP helmet system doesn't just catch the bullet—it is scientifically proven to reduce the blunt force impact to your head better than older helmets.
What sizes are available for the Ops Core FAST XP 2 helmet system?
The helmet comes in four sizes to fit different head shapes:
