Bulletproof Backpack Insert | Level 3A+, 3+ and 4 Options
- The Bulletproof Backpack Insert is a specially designed protective gear that can be inserted into a backpack. It can act as a shield against bullets, enhancing the safety measures of the bag.
- These inserts come in different levels (IIIA+, III+, or IV), each offering a different degree of protection. The higher the level, the stronger the resistance to bullets.
- The Level IIIA+ insert, suitable for ages 3 and above, is extremely lightweight and can stop almost any pistol ammunition. However, it can't stop rifle bullets independently.
- The Level III+ insert, recommended for ages 7 and above, stops the most common rifles and is available in a 22% lighter weight variant or a standard ceramic option. It's less than 1 inch thick and can also float in water like a life-preserver.
- The Level IV insert, suitable for ages 15 and above, can stop just about everything up to 30-06 M2 AP. It is capable of stopping the most common rifles, pistols, and their armor-piercing bullet variants.
- It should be noted that the bulletproof inserts are removable, facilitating easy washing of the backpack and the insert separately, ensuring the integrity of the plate. It also allows easy monitoring of the insert's condition and its transferability to another backpack or bag.
- Except for the NIJ III+ (3+) Ceramic option, all bulletproof plates are waterproof. The level 3A+ insert is sealed in a waterproof bag while the level 3+ 22% Lighter plate can even act as a life preserver.

Bulletproof Backpack Insert FAQs
How often do I need to replace the backpack armor in my backpack?
The longevity of the bulletproof insert heavily depends on how it is used and maintained. Generally, it can last for several years with proper care. However, it's essential to regularly check for signs of wear or damage that could compromise its protective abilities.
Can the bullet proof backpack insert be detected by metal detectors?
The majority of our bulletproof inserts are made of non-metallic materials, hence they should not trigger most metal detectors. However, it's always advisable to consult with relevant authorities or institutions (like schools or airports) to ensure compliance with their security measures.
Can I cut or modify the aramid backpack insert to fit my backpack?
We strongly advise against it. Cutting or modifying the insert could severely impair its protective capabilities. For the best fit, we recommend measuring your backpack and choosing the insert size that matches closely.
Are these backpack bulletproof inserts only suitable for school backpacks?
No, our bulletproof inserts are versatile and can be used in various types of bags, including laptop bags, handbags, and travel bags. Check the measurements of your bag to select the appropriate insert size.
Will the weight of the bulletproof insert for backpack create discomfort for my child?
We offer different weight options to accommodate various comfort levels. Do note that while higher levels of armor provide greater protection, they are also heavier. It's essential to strike a balance between protection and comfort, especially for younger kids.

- Must be within 30 days of package delivery.
- No need to purchase a shipping label! Atomic Defense will give you a pre-paid one.
- A re-certification cost of 20% applies to returns of ballistic and bulletproof products.
- The 20% recertification covers the cost of ensuring the armor is safe. Usually starting with X-Raying the armor for cracks underneath the coating, inspection for damage, and water damage testing. Without this 20%, we would not be able to offer returns on armor.
- There is no way for us to know how or if it was used once shipped, and we have to consider them unsafe until retested, inspected and certified.
- Exchanges and non-ballistic products do not have a re-certification cost.
