Manual gain lets you control how bright the picture is by turning a knob. This helps you get the clearest possible view in different light levels. This is a new feature controlled by the main switch, which handles all functions of the device.

What is the built-in IR illuminator for?

 The IR illuminator is like a special flashlight that only night vision can see. It is designed to help you see in complete darkness during close-quarter operations. When it is on, you will see an indicator in your field of view.

What does "White Phosphor" mean? 

White Phosphor means the image you see is in black and white. All of the intensifier tubes we offer are White Phosphor models.

How does the flip-up shut-off work? 

You can flip each eyepiece up to the side individually, and it will automatically turn off. This saves power and helps the battery last longer. A single battery lasts over 25 hours, but most users report up to 35 hours because of this feature.

Is the DTNVS-MG waterproof?

What is FOM and why does it matter?
